Mistakes may be made during development, something may be overlooked – this is a normal phenomenon. In order to minimize the possibility of such errors in the owner of a new car, it is necessary to check the fulfillment of consumer property goals.
These checks are carried out from the digital design stage to the prototype manufacturing stages and allow you to change something in the design or production process in time and consist of the following stages.

The digital validation stage. At this stage, mathematical (3D and other) car models are analyzed. These checks are carried out before the final approval of the design documentation. Aerodynamics, fuel and speed characteristics are checked by calculation methods, traction and dynamic calculations are carried out, and capacity parameters are measured in a 3D model of the car.
The stage of testing prototypes of components and parts. At this stage, the conformity of parts and components obtained for the assembly of the first prototypes from production is checked for compliance with the requirements of design documentation – drawings, specifications. Most of the inconsistencies are eliminated at this stage. Based on the results of the inspections, it is possible to adjust the design of parts and components.
The stage of checking the mule. On early prototypes, also called mules, limited level 5 checks with measurements are carried out. It is impossible to evaluate the mule as a finished car, since most of the properties are not realized in it – the body is taken from the car model closest in size, the chassis is made using prototype technologies, etc. Based on the results of the inspections, it is also possible to adjust the design of parts and components.
The stage of checking design solutions at the vehicle level. At this stage, all properties are checked at level 5 with measurements, the goals for which were set. Validation of all properties is also carried out at levels 4 and 3. Design adjustments are possible, but very rare. At this stage, the calibrations of the engine control units and the climate system are being changed.
The stage of technology maturity verification. At this stage, level 5 property checks are carried out, which raised questions at the previous stage. The stage of checking the maturity of the build process. At this stage, all properties are checked at level 3 – synthesis tests. During the normal course of the project, these checks are final.
