The force and stroke of the clutch pedal depend structurally on the type of clutch drive:
- mechanical (cable or lever) – more often gives a clearer and more direct feeling, but may be tighter.
- hydraulic – provides a lighter and smoother force, better isolates from vibrations, but can slightly "lubricate" the feedback.
Engineers put considerable effort into fine-tuning the force and stroke of the clutch pedal. The ideal pedal is invisible to the driver, it predictably allows you to accurately dose the transmission of torque, making the control process smooth and confident.
