CONFLICT ND BALANCE OF CUSTOMER PERFORMANCES

VEHICLE CUSTOMER PERFORMANCES - COMMON DATA
Let's imagine the "perfect" car. Most likely he should:

  • Accelerate quickly, but at the same time have low fuel consumption or a huge power reserve (if it is an electric car)
  • Be compact, but at the same time have a good capacity to carry at least five adults
  • Be as passable as possible, but at the same time have the handling of a racing car
Obviously, the combination of these properties is difficult to achieve because:

  • Fast acceleration and high speed require energy-consuming engines, which negatively affects the power reserve.
  • Capacity requires large dimensions
  • High cross-country capability is unattainable without high ground clearance, which impairs vehicle handling.

Only Homer Simpson was able to design the perfect car, but it has not a commercial success.
Often, when improving one or another customer performance, one has to compromise and worsen the other.

Balancing customer performance, each automaker creates its own unique product.

A well-chosen balance ensures the competitiveness of the product in the market.

The search for this balance is called the process of customer performances deploying.
